What I've Been Doing

So I know I haven’t posted in about a week but in my defense I have been so exhausted!!! I’ll quickly catch you up. Memorial Day weekend I did most of the shopping for my daughter’s 16th birthday. That Tuesday I cut and colored her hair for said birthday and then on Wednesday her actual birthday I got up at 5:45am to do her makeup and get her all dolled up for her special day. Which thankfully she decided to spend at school because her main gift was a room change and room makeover. Her father and I spent the whole day juggling a 2 year old, 5 month old and lots of paint all while moving furniture and cleaning. Once that was done I spent the evening cooking and baking.

Just when I thought it was finally over my 10 year old reminded me that I promised to do her hair really pretty because the next day was her big Battle of the Books competition at the convention center. Wishing that I could clone myself I asked her to wake me up extra early the next morning and I would get to it before school. So that’s what I did. I basically tended to the needs of the household and neglected my need for sleep.

However, I’m back now and throughout this week I’ll share with you what it’s like to now have a 16-year-old girl, as well as how her actual day went. I’ll share some DIYs that I did for her birthday, a crazy experience I had with some psycho parent’s, and my teething 5 month old. Oh and how can I forget! I’ve got to share with you how her crazy hair color came out.

Until later…

  1. Hi! I'm looking forward to following you and your blog. 7 kids, huh? I've got a busy house with just 4! But they make life interesting, don't they? Happy birthday to your Sweet 16-year-old!
