Blogging and Personal Relationships

I don’t know about other bloggers but when I meet new people I feel like I need to disclose the fact that I have a blog and if we build any type of relationship on any given day they can and will be a topic.

Now I don’t go around judging people on how much potential they have to be a great blog post. I also don’t put everything out in the open for the world to know but some things need to be shared and I never use real names. Those that know I blog are either offended because I have not mentioned them or have said specifically “Do not put me in your blog!” and that’s cool. I respect their feelings.

I’m one of those people that have crazy stuff happen to them quit often. At times other people bring on the craziness and in those moments of “I can’t make this shit up” I must blog. So what’s a girl to do? Introduce myself, as “Hi I’m Samantha I’m married with 7 kids and 2 blogs. At any given time if you piss me off or do something really stupid I will blog about you. Oh by the way nice to meet you”?

As I continue on with my blog and nurture it so it can grow I plan on sharing more of my life with you. For you other bloggers out there how do you determine what to share and when? I would love to know. Share your advice down in the comments.

  1. I try not to blog about friends. Especially since I know some value privacy. I only recently came out as a blogger to my mom's group. But I blog more about my kid.

    1. How did your mom's group react? I definitely don't blog about just anyone. It would have to be something that pertains to their involvement with my family in certain situations. Thanks for reading. I appreciate comments.
