Johnson's No More Tangles Review

Johnson's Baby Shampoo & Conditioner, No More Tangles Detangling Spray and Leave in Conditioner

So about a month ago I received an email saying I was going to be sent a Vox Box. It's my first one and I was really excited about it, I mean really excited... until the day it came. When I opened the box and saw it was Johnson's hair products for my toddler I was like oh no! Don't get me wrong I love Johnson's but Jr who will be 3 next month can't stand to get his hair done. I don't know what happened he used to love it. He would bring me the comb and hair products and sit down so I could comb his curls. Then one day I asked him to come get his hair combed and he freaked out! This has gone on for months with no signs of changing.

So the day the box came I had an idea. I told him it was for him, what it was used for and told him he had to take care of it. He smiled and put it in his room without a second thought. I didn't want to push him so I waited a couple of days and finally asked if I could try the products out on him and he said yes. He. Said. YES!! I didn't want to show my excitement because he might change his mind. Toddlers are like that ya know. I bathed him and used the 2 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner first. Then came the No More Tangles spray followed by the leave in conditioner. Jr has a lot of hair, a lot of curly hair that gets tangled so I wasn't sure I would see a difference but I did! The comb went right through his curls with no problem, his hair was soft and smelled amazing! Once I made a big deal about how nice his hair looked he was back to his old self again wanting his hair done! I think it may have been because he actually has something of his own that he doesn't have to share. Over all our first Vox Box was a success. Now lets just hope Jr continues letting me do his hair without a fight.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

  2. Tangles suck and having a curly haired toddler myself, I can completely understand the "don't touch my hair mom" routine. But I do have to admit I really dislike Johnson shampoo and will not use it on Bee anymore. When she was younger that's all we used but everytime it got in her eyes she would cry bloody murder and her eyes would get so irritated. You know how it says it's "tear free" and "as gentle as water"..yeah I don't believe that one bit. So we just don't use there products anymore in my house. But I'm really glad they work so well for you.

    1. Oh no that sucks. I'm sorry to hear that. I love Johnson's but I know what you mean. I've experienced that with other brands that say tear free.

  3. Jr. looks so amazingly cute! I love that you let him be in charge of when to use the Vox Box. What a special day for him! I'm glad everything worked well and that both he and you had a great experience. Thanks for the review and the post.
