Legendary Parents: How to Balance Work, Life and Fun

We all know how hard it is to be a parent but when you throw work into the mix we kind of start feeling like a sinking ship. How do we find that much needed work life balance? Some of us may have it figured out while some may not. Either way I am hoping to build a community of parents helping parents with advice on how they manage a household as well as a blog and/or a business.

To start us off we’ve got the owner of Me And My Mini Me blog.

Tell us a little about your self and your blog.

I'm a single mom of a beautiful two and half year-old daughter who happens to be my Mini Me in ever sense of the word. My passion for all things fashion, beauty and fitness as well as my mini me led me to create Me And My Mini Me. A fashion, beauty and lifestyle blog that follows this single mama's adventures into raising a fashion-loving, sassy and very opinionated tot. We are dedicated to bringing you reviews, awesome giveaways, recipes, weekly workouts, Mommy&Me fashion and beauty tutorials--all done with a Mommy&Me twist.

How did you decide to start blogging?

I've always enjoyed writing, voicing my opinions and inspiring people to be the best versions of themselves. After I became a mom at a very young age, I wanted to do something more with my life, be a person my daughter would be proud of and look up to. I then realized that there were probably other moms out there that felt the same way I did and so I decided to create this blog. It began as a way to connect with other moms on a deeper level and hopefully be someone’s support the same way other people had been mine. But eventually it became so much more, it became this amazing place where I could share all the things my daughter and I loved, our special bond and help other mommies find awesome products.

Is there a particular time you set aside for your blog or is it just something you do when you can?

I try so hard to set time aside each day to work on my blog. But sometimes that doesn't go as planned, I either stay up extremely late or just try to squeeze time in during the day to work on posts. Being a full-time mom, college student and breadwinner is no easy task. And even though I try to be as consistent as possible, there's days when the day just isn't long enough and I have to postpone my post for the following day.

What is your secret for how you balance, work, life and fun?
My secret? Ooh that's a tough one, I'm not exactly sure I have one. I think it's all about prioritizing. To me, the most important thing is my daughter and building a good life for us. I figure that as long as I have my priorities straight, try to manage my time as best as I can and set goals for myself, the rest will pretty much work itself out.

What is something you’ve learned about yourself while juggling your blog and motherhood?

Great question. I've learned that I can pretty much do anything that I set my mind to; I know that sounds like a total cliché but it's so true. I've learned to multi-task, juggle multiple conversations, schedules and topics. I feel like I've developed eyes in the back of my head and hypersensitive hearing and I've also noticed that I've become a lot more patient and organized.

Where can we find you on social media?
