People I Would Love to Learn From

If you could connect one-on-one with one expert, what would you want to learn?

I would love to absolutely love to pick the brains of so many people in different industries about different things. There is no way I could only choose one person.

For the fashion industry I would have to go with Diane Von Furstenberg. She has been around for years and experienced countless numbers of trends. She’s gone through so many ups and downs in her business as well as her life and she always manages to come out on top. I would want Diane Von Furstenberg to teach me how to become known and stay relevant in the fashion industry. If anyone knows about longevity it would be her.

For writing I would call upon Elizabeth Gilbert. I love to wake up in the morning and go straight to her Facebook page to soak up what ever tid bit of inspiration she has provided her loyal following for the day. I can tell by the way she responds to and interacts with her fans that the success she has earned from Eat Pray Love has not gone to her head. She is a wonderful writer. She writes in a way that really makes you feel something. I want to know what her secret is to writing like that.

When it comes to business I want to pick Mark Cuban’s brain. This man owns so many successful business and helps entrepreneurs get their start ups off the ground. He just seems extremely brilliant to me and it would be a wonderful opportunity to get his expert opinion on starting and maintaining a business as well being able to recognize the difference between a good and bad business idea.

Of course there are plenty of other people I would want to learn from but these are the three I would start with. Who would you like to connect with?

  1. I discovered Elizabeth Gilbert through her amazing Ted Talk on the "elusive creative genius" and immediately thought: "if she writes as well as she speaks, I have to read her book!" If you haven't watched it yet, I recommend it.
